Gray spied a large crack in one of the safety glass windows leading to the camp
grounds and open fired along the split. The glass grudgingly gave way in crashed
outwards, Kain and Gray diving through and into the empty and eerie feeling
grounds.
Kain: "So. The main security systems have been set off."
Gray: "Yeah. Looks like were pretty much prisoners in this
nightmare."
Gray glanced back at the zombies who where now clamouring at the window pane and
started to walk out into the growing dusk.
Gray: "We better find somewhere safer than out here, nights approaching and
I don't want to spend in on the run from monsters in the dark."
Kain: "True. Lets find a guard tower and stay there for the
night."
The two headed for the nearest tower, out the front of the main facility. In the
swiftly fading light the two didn't notice the blood and bodies scattered around
the grounds. They reached the tower and hurriedly climbed the steel ladder and
opened the hatch, strangely finding it's guards missing.
Kain: "Finding help would have been nice but there's plenty of room now.
Lets hurry and get inside."
Moments after they closed the hatch and locked it the last traced of light left
the grounds in total darkness. The only source of light coming from the light
shining through windows powered by auxilary generators.
((guessjeans, could you please stop causing trouble. Also, travelling between
edo and osaka in a few hours isn't possible at this point in time, as far as I
know.))
Kail continued down the road towards the stalls he had spotted. He stopped at
one of the larger stalls, which had set up a bar like table and a shade
cloth.
Lady: "Welcome. What would you like to have?"
Kail: "Ramen please."
After a few minutes waiting a bowl of ramen was sitting infront on the bar, a
number of other patrons sat to either side of him.
Lady: "Your a stranger to osaka and a ronin to I imagine."
Kail: "hmm?" *he looked up and swallowed his mouthful of ramen,
chocking and the lady patted him on the back* "thank *cough*
thanks."
Lady: "My pleasure. You haven't paid yet."
Kail: *smiles* "Your very perceptive."
Lady: "Not really. I could tell by that strange sword and your lack of
money. Ronin aren't know for riches." *she laughed*
Kail: ^^' "I guess not."
The group was hurrying down a corridor when a schreeching noice tore through the
eire silence. A part of the roof caved in, concrete and steel crashed down into
the corridor blocking in up. Everyone dived for safety and when the dust
cleared, both Roy and Ethan had vanished.
Kain: "Hey. Roy. Ethan. Can you hear me!"
Ethan shouted from the other side of the debris.
Kain: "Ok, there should be a guard room a little way back, go through it
and along another corridor and you can meet us back in the reception hall. Also,
is Roy there with you?"
Gray: "Sir. I think we have bigger problems."
Kain turned to see what Gray had already been looking at. A group of zombies had
heard the noise and were staggering down the corridor towards the two. Gray
began to shoot, trying to stop them from advancing while Kain glanced around,
looking for an escape route.
((no time to post at the moment but, guessjeans. This base isn't a Hive, and
there's no AI either. Also saying things like you look 21 but are 95 is
unrealistic. Just be 21 and you can't say, I can't die I'm not even human.
Please stick to the rules.))
Roy activated the extra security in the operating room, steel barriers rose up
out of the floor on the inside of the doors and windows. Outside the sounds of
gunfire and screams filled the air, amongst them the roars of creatures let
loose and uncontrolled.
Kain: "What the. The creatures shouldn't be attacking us, not with... damn
that can't be possib..."
The sound of someone banging on the door interupted him and everyone in the room
turned quickly to face the door. The banging intensified and a moan sounded
through the the thick wood door.
Kain: "Gray."
Gray: "Ok sir."
The soldier readied his MP7 and approached the door, turning the door knob and
following up by kicking it outwards sending the bloodied receptionist
staggering. Gray fired a few rounds into his head.
Kain: "Looks like it is possible... Everyone, get your guns
ready."
Roy took out his two 9mm Berettas and Kain unholstered his Desert
Eagle.
((A short note, U.B.C.S. guys will mostly have MP7's and full SWAT body armour
and the generic handgun is the 9mm Beretta. If you think of anything else that
NPC's could have just let everyone know.))
Kail turns to see a woman holding out her hand, the money glinted in the
sunlight. He raised his hand out to take it but paused for a moment before
taking the money from her hand, smiling.
Kail: "Thank you. May I know the name of such a generous person?"
Kivan looked back as Ragas ran after him, followed by a teary Adel, Krad and
Dark. He gave Ragas a querying look as he and the others stopped before him,
breathing heavily.
Kain glanced at Ethan, noticing the sudden change in attitude.
Kain: <Strange... I have other things to worry about at the moment>
"I named him Xavier. Superior in everyway to the first versions of tyrants
except for intellegence. Sadly I could not perfect him, I so wanted to hear him
speak, to talk with him."
A sad, distant look flashed over his facial features but was quickly replaced by
determination. He nodded to Ethan and Roy, and Roy activated the rooms main
systems. But, something strange happened, all of the systems started to shut
down and the lights flickered and dulled.
Kain: "What?!"
Xavier started to move, growling and thrashing his arms in the chains. Suddenly
everything on the base shut down and everything went quiet. The bases secondary
power systems activated, the primary defenses activated, the EMP field, steel
security walls rose outside the electricly charged wire fences, although only
some of the storage rooms reactivated.
Kain: "This isn't good. Dammit! Everyone, get out of there!"
He shouted in the microphone at the guards and lab staff as Xavier's arm and leg
brackets broke away. Many of the guards opened fire, the bullet doing almost
nothing the rest fled towards any of the doors as they slid shut and locked.
Kain shouted to Roy to open the locks as Xavier tore through the men inside.
Instead, he reactivated the security window.
Roy: "I wish that didn't happen just as much as you do but if I open those
doors we let Xavier out. If that happens then we've got no chance."
Kain: "... your right. But if my guess at what just happened is correct
then we'll have alot more to worry about in the next few hours."
Kain entered the Main Facility and turned the corner, pushing open the door and
walking down the hall and through the inside viral scanners. Not noticing the
empty reception desk.
Kain: "The Raccoon City Lab. I remember reading over the files, the
outbreak was caused by a snubbed member of their T-Viral staff. He stole a
number of important virus samples and broke a case of the T-Virus in one of the
labs."
He nodded to the guards and continued down the corridor to the observation room.
Opening the door and joining the two other staff members already there. One was
a tech operator and the other an U.B.C.S. solder.
Kain: "You'll be assisting me with the observations and testing of my
creation, Xavier. Ok Roy start the test."
The windows in the observation room opened and revealed the operating room,
equipment now pushed against the walls and a a man shaped figure stood, dressed
in a large coat, the figure was twice as large as a normal man. It's right arm
was bare and had large claws instead of a hand. It's skin had a bluish hue to it
and his legs and arms were held to the floor by chains. U.B.C.S. personel were
lined against every wall and a number of scarred men in lab coats stood of to
one side with clipboards.
You've seen Shaun of the Dead haven't you ^^ I watched it yesterday. Hmm a Z-Day
plan, it would depend on what the zombies are like.
If they were like Shaun of the Dead then I'd arm myself with any weapons and
sharp heavy objects I could find. Hang out on my roof with a deck chair and a
freezer filled with food and pelt zombies while waiting for the armed forces to
arrive and deal with them.
If it was Resident Evil style then it would be escape to the north or south
pole. The virus in RE can't survive in extreme cold climates. If I couldn't
escape then I'd probably just try and take out as many as possible before
turning a gun on myself.
An idea lit up in Kivan's mind and he quickly hushed everyone. "They expect
a large scale military action against them, so we give them what they
want." Incredulous looks spread over the mens faces. "But." He
paused, considering his plan once more. "We can't win that way so we
won't." Again the men looked at him with confusion some even anger.
"Blast it man, stop speaking in riddles and get to the point." Kivan
smiled and pointed out the few places no one had thought of. "The underdark
are over confidant and everyone knows that. They already had a counter strategy
set out for any of our plans and in everyone we are crushed by their shadow.
That's what we must remove in order to win or atleast hold them
back."
Kivan began to point out large drains and other places that even the underdark's
minions can't access the surface from. "These places are dangerous and
can't be climbed but things can be dropped down from them and that's what we'll
do. Each drain is situated above large underground chambers or passageways,
places where we would be trying to fight in." Geldar smiled and nodded for
Kivan to continue. "We can drop light stones down these drains, the golden
sunbursts from Sky Tower. We can have our mages conceal their magic and
illusionists to conceal their presence from the underdark. Then when we move
down into their first line of defence we reveal our hidden traps and their
strength becomes non existant."
Geldar broke out into a deep chuckle. "It's underhanded, sneaky and the one
way those fiends wouldn't expect us to fight. The sunbursts from Sky Tower grow
stronger when the darkness presseures it and the one place that they would blaze
like the sun would be their subterreinean homes." Kivan smiled as the
officers cheered and he motioned for quiet. "Also there's one thing not
many people know about, the sunbursts give courage and strength to those who
bathe in it's light and weaken those who are evil. To use these stones in battle
has never been considered because its power would benefit both sides."
Kivan stepped back to let the men plan out their new battle strategy.
Geldar approached him, standing next to him and watching his officers eagerly
plot against the underdark. "You said, or atleast hold them back. What
for?" Kivan smiled at his old friend. "As you said we have to kill
Xantam in order to have any chance at a complete victory. "We should send
in a special team of our finest fighters and mages while they're
distracted." The old man nodded. "Walk in their back door and hit
their heart... Find your team Kivan." As the man walked back into the crowd
Kivan sat down on a crate and glanced at the far wall of the tent thoughtfully.
((Great to see you here Sean ^^ One thing about your profile, you should check
out the special abilities and choose the three you want.))
The E. Hunter that had passed the jeep entered through the gate, even though it
had neuro implants the guards still shied away as it came running past them.
Professor Strafford walked towards the gate and the creature passed him, only
missing him by centimeters.
Kain: <So this new scientist finally arrives, it's about time they sent a
replacement>
Kain hadn't even batted an eyelash at the creature and ordered the guards to re
activate the anti-viral scanners before walking up to meet the new man and the
driver as they entered the compound.
Kain: "I don't normally greet new members of our staff but this is a
special occasion. I've been short handed for a long time now and I've had to
accept some, undesireable assistance. Follow me, quickly. We have much to
do."
Driver: "I'll take this as my que to leave. I'll take your bags to your
room, here's your keys. The building and room number is on the tag. Sir,
Sir."
The driver nodded to the man and Kain and drove off to the motor pool leaving
the man to follow Kain who was already striding towards the Main Facility.
((Woah, I didn't expect so many people. ok then, Street Style Samurai officialy
begins))
As the hot sun blazes down upon the streets of Osaka the sound of crickets buzz
in the air. A young man with unusual snow white hair trudges along with the
crowd.
Kail: <Why does it have to be so hot?>
He raised his hand up to cover his eyes from the sun and glanced down the road,
spying a row of vendors.
Kail: "Lets see..."
He began to rummage through his pockets, looking for any money.
Kivan looked over the map, examining points near the docks and other smaller
sewer entrances. Considering the idea over and over again. "You know, with
a few adjustments. That just might work." His words could be heard by all
in the silence filled tent. The other men started looking over the maps,
nodding, talking, thinking. Above all, Geldar nodded and with a last bemused
look at Aric, returned to planning at the table.
((I just realised I haven't posted a profile, I'll work on that in a bit, I've
got some things to do over the next day or so. People can start and join
whenever. enjoy ^^))
Kivan sighed as the old man shook his head once more. He had know what Geldar's
answer would be but he thought it had been worth a try at least. "I have
given you my reply. Now leave the square peacefully or be escorted."
Geldar's short beard, as white as the hair on his head, bristled in frustration
his hard gaze leaving no room to miss interpret his last words. Turning back to
the table. "Rookwood please continue with the latest reconnaissance
reports."
The group around the table continued on, all ignoring Adel, Krad and Dark except
for the guards standing around the tents edge. Kivan stepped forward to point
out a number of strategic points, debating their importance with the other men
present. Many nodding in agreement or examining the maps thoughtfully. The
meeting continued as if the prior disturbance had been all but forgotten.
Heya, by request of kawaiihime04 I'm bringing this role play back. For whoever

Story
It's going to be based on the anime Samurai Shamploo, during the Edo period in
Japan. Basically it's going to have a freestyle feel to it, just like the anime.
With the new Tokugawa Shogunate samurai are being given a number of choices,
give up their sword and become peasants, move to the city of their feudal lord
and become a paid retainer, join the military and renounce their status as a
samurai or join a clan that has approval of the government.
Although Japan is changing alot of samurai are persisting with their ways of
life and are being frowned upon by the government. Situations where the people
have risen up against their corrupt Lords are being blamed upon the ronin and
roaming samurai.
Members of the government have begun hiring mercenaries, assasins, and
ex-samurai who conformed under Feudal Lords and military leaders to hunt the
ronin and rogues. Inspite of not being the cause of trouble and some being
heroes of the people, they're becoming a hinderance in the government's opinion.
In the Rp you can chose to be a ronin, wanderer, mercenary, ex-samurai in the
military, a feudal lord's retainer, ninja, assasin. Any of these can take either
side in the conflict. The weapons will be any kind as long as it could be found
in Japan at that time. Basic firearms like muskets and arquebusiers can be used.
There's no magic.
Also there will be some historical background. Namely, groups, locations, in
general how Japan was during that time. And Cyg when you post here can you add
details about the groups you mentioned to me ^^'
Name: Kail
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Class: Ronin
Weapon/s: Specially made Katana (see picture)
Appearance:
Personality: Calm, adventurous and is a bit of a freeloader. He likes to take
the losing side and make it the winning side.
Other: He mixes acrobatics with his swordsmanship, constantly on the move in a
fight, attempting to catch the unwary off guard with his unusual style of
fighting.
Kivan had followed Adel and her companions to the main tent and when the guards
closed in he stepped forward. "Hold steady my friends. They are strangers
but they have yet to show hostility." He paused, considering what the
vampire had previously said. "I think we should hear them out." The
elderly man frowned, causing Kivan to shift uncomfortably. After what seemed
like an eternity the senior officer nodded sagely. "Ok Kivan. I will take
your word for it. What have you to say, strangers? but speak wisely, that is my
only warning."
Again Kivan's eyebrow raised to his hairline as Adelheida and her companions
went through their spiel. Vampire queen, with
two angels to boot. A wry smile appeared on his face, quickly returning
to neutrality. Heh, strangers. The sun
broke through its barrier of clouds and the morning light glowed down the city
streets. As the sun touched Adel nothing happened, backing up his
scepticism.
"Even if you want to see our head authority, I don't think the king,
General Marcus or Chancellor Harwin would be free for an audience." Kivan
scanned up and down the street, checking for any trouble. This hidden glance,
second nature to veteran watchmen. "There's too much to worry about these
days without our higher ups spending their time taking audience with
strangers."
Nodding to Ragas's reply glance, Kivan gave one last look over the strangers.
"I have to get back to my shift. Peace favor you my friend and care must be
taken these days. Strange things lurk in the shadows these days." The last,
meant for all of them. Kivan strode off into the bazzar weaving through the
crowds, but hadn't gone far when he heard someone cry out about a mage.
Instantly he spun on his heel and darted through the crowd back towards the old
spellcaster, not caring who he jostled in his dash.
He rounded a corner and saw three of the strangers being carted off by other
watchmen. He dismissed them with a shake of his head. Too many strangers are in the city this year. How can the chancellor
expect general Marcus and the watch to cope. The remaining still
conversed with a ruffled looking but focused Ragas. "I hope everything is
still well. They won't cause any more trouble." His gaze followed the three
being escorted away and paused for a fraction of a second over the remaining
three before coming to rest on the Mage.
((hey pantsmaster, I cut out alot of extra stuff in ultimate survival game. I

point at which roleplays become complicated enough so that it would be easier to
just play a console game of it. Sorry about over doing it. Everyone who posted
up profiles, please come back ^^' Anything that's left is beneficial to making
characters and understanding the background story. It's still in the desert

Driver: "I'll take this as my que to leave. I'll take your bags to your room, here's your keys. The building and room number is on the tag. Sir, Sir."
The driver nodded to the man and Kain and drove off to the motor pool leaving the man to follow Kain who was already striding towards the Main Facility.
((Woah, I didn't expect so many people. ok then, Street Style Samurai officialy begins))
As the hot sun blazes down upon the streets of Osaka the sound of crickets buzz in the air. A young man with unusual snow white hair trudges along with the crowd.
Kail: <Why does it have to be so hot?>
He raised his hand up to cover his eyes from the sun and glanced down the road, spying a row of vendors.
Kail: "Lets see..."
He began to rummage through his pockets, looking for any money.
Alright, I've added my profile to the opening post. We can start whenever, yosh! ^^ Hajime!
Kivan looked over the map, examining points near the docks and other smaller sewer entrances. Considering the idea over and over again. "You know, with a few adjustments. That just might work." His words could be heard by all in the silence filled tent. The other men started looking over the maps, nodding, talking, thinking. Above all, Geldar nodded and with a last bemused look at Aric, returned to planning at the table.
((I just realised I haven't posted a profile, I'll work on that in a bit, I've got some things to do over the next day or so. People can start and join whenever. enjoy ^^))
Kivan sighed as the old man shook his head once more. He had know what Geldar's answer would be but he thought it had been worth a try at least. "I have given you my reply. Now leave the square peacefully or be escorted." Geldar's short beard, as white as the hair on his head, bristled in frustration his hard gaze leaving no room to miss interpret his last words. Turning back to the table. "Rookwood please continue with the latest reconnaissance reports."
The group around the table continued on, all ignoring Adel, Krad and Dark except for the guards standing around the tents edge. Kivan stepped forward to point out a number of strategic points, debating their importance with the other men present. Many nodding in agreement or examining the maps thoughtfully. The meeting continued as if the prior disturbance had been all but forgotten.

Story
It's going to be based on the anime Samurai Shamploo, during the Edo period in Japan. Basically it's going to have a freestyle feel to it, just like the anime.
With the new Tokugawa Shogunate samurai are being given a number of choices, give up their sword and become peasants, move to the city of their feudal lord and become a paid retainer, join the military and renounce their status as a samurai or join a clan that has approval of the government.
Although Japan is changing alot of samurai are persisting with their ways of life and are being frowned upon by the government. Situations where the people have risen up against their corrupt Lords are being blamed upon the ronin and roaming samurai.
Members of the government have begun hiring mercenaries, assasins, and ex-samurai who conformed under Feudal Lords and military leaders to hunt the ronin and rogues. Inspite of not being the cause of trouble and some being heroes of the people, they're becoming a hinderance in the government's opinion.
In the Rp you can chose to be a ronin, wanderer, mercenary, ex-samurai in the military, a feudal lord's retainer, ninja, assasin. Any of these can take either side in the conflict. The weapons will be any kind as long as it could be found in Japan at that time. Basic firearms like muskets and arquebusiers can be used. There's no magic.
Also there will be some historical background. Namely, groups, locations, in general how Japan was during that time. And Cyg when you post here can you add details about the groups you mentioned to me ^^'

Personality: Calm, adventurous and is a bit of a freeloader. He likes to take the losing side and make it the winning side.

Kivan had followed Adel and her companions to the main tent and when the guards closed in he stepped forward. "Hold steady my friends. They are strangers but they have yet to show hostility." He paused, considering what the vampire had previously said. "I think we should hear them out." The elderly man frowned, causing Kivan to shift uncomfortably. After what seemed like an eternity the senior officer nodded sagely. "Ok Kivan. I will take your word for it. What have you to say, strangers? but speak wisely, that is my only warning."
Again Kivan's eyebrow raised to his hairline as Adelheida and her companions went through their spiel. Vampire queen, with two angels to boot. A wry smile appeared on his face, quickly returning to neutrality. Heh, strangers. The sun broke through its barrier of clouds and the morning light glowed down the city streets. As the sun touched Adel nothing happened, backing up his scepticism.
"Even if you want to see our head authority, I don't think the king, General Marcus or Chancellor Harwin would be free for an audience." Kivan scanned up and down the street, checking for any trouble. This hidden glance, second nature to veteran watchmen. "There's too much to worry about these days without our higher ups spending their time taking audience with strangers."
((@pantsmaster: sounds good to me ^^))
Nodding to Ragas's reply glance, Kivan gave one last look over the strangers. "I have to get back to my shift. Peace favor you my friend and care must be taken these days. Strange things lurk in the shadows these days." The last, meant for all of them. Kivan strode off into the bazzar weaving through the crowds, but hadn't gone far when he heard someone cry out about a mage. Instantly he spun on his heel and darted through the crowd back towards the old spellcaster, not caring who he jostled in his dash.
He rounded a corner and saw three of the strangers being carted off by other watchmen. He dismissed them with a shake of his head. Too many strangers are in the city this year. How can the chancellor expect general Marcus and the watch to cope. The remaining still conversed with a ruffled looking but focused Ragas. "I hope everything is still well. They won't cause any more trouble." His gaze followed the three being escorted away and paused for a fraction of a second over the remaining three before coming to rest on the Mage.
((hey pantsmaster, I cut out alot of extra stuff in ultimate survival game. I went over board with the detail. can you come back, there should be plenty of freedom now in role playing.)
((Heya everyone, I've cut out the maps, doors and some other things. There's a point at which roleplays become complicated enough so that it would be easier to just play a console game of it. Sorry about over doing it. Everyone who posted up profiles, please come back ^^' Anything that's left is beneficial to making characters and understanding the background story. It's still in the desert facility but alot more free running. Please come back, I don't want this to die out like it did before.))
